It was a beautiful spring day today. I've always thought spring is a special time of year -newness, rebirth, awakening, hot guys paying tennis with their shirts off on the west side highway and all that stuff. But it just can't be that instantaneously. We have to participate to make it happen. Usually that involves cleaning out. Old junk, dust bunnies, go back to the gym, spiritual and emotional housekeeping etc. It's really hard to part with stuff and start new good habits. I have decided to give myself permission to do the cleaning and not feel guilty about why I didn't go back to the gym sooner, be more organized or why I held on to the junk for too long. No apologies. Everything can be shiny and new.
Bob Dylan sang-
Can't you hear that rooster crowin'?
Rabbit runnin' down across the road
Underneath the bridge where the water flowed through
So happy just to see you smile
Underneath the sky of blue
On this new morning, new morning
On this new morning with you
