I refuse...

So Steen just told me, in a message on Facebook, no less, that our blog was dead and that it should be removed from the Interweb. However, I can't possibly let it go down that easily, no no no. This blog is going to drag on and on until we both feel it's time to let it go. Perhaps when the name of the blog no longer makes sense which means that I'll have to move or something...

Anyway, since I've last posted I'm sure a ton has happened. Most recently, I was in Austin at SXSW -- always a good time. There were definitely some changes this year, namely the lack of free beer and free condoms at day parties. Dang, 2007 was a good year :-) Also the bands were playing not just once, but maybe 4 or 5 times during the festival....Which seems a bit bizarre because in the past, if you missed one night show, that was it. This year, you could always catch the act the next night or at a day party. Strange. Does that mean that there were fewer artists this year? Hmmmm....My favorites from this year were.....DeVotchka, Cordero, Rupa and the April Fishes, and hm....I do like the new Old 97s music and think the forthcoming album will be a good one. I also liked Los Campesinos! and Ed Harcourt.

I think I'll write more later....maybe even this weekend, to humor dear Steenie and keep the dreaded blog alive!
