Today I saw a dead mouse in the street at the intersection of 53rd and lex. Now anyone who knows me knows that when confronted with the invaders in my own home I show no mercy and relish the V for Victory of eliminating the fuzzy fiends. However, I felt so sad to see this mouse lying dead in near the cross walk with swarms of people rushing apathetically by it; such a public death. I hope someone cleaned it up.
Lately I’ve been obsessed with any band that has the word Dirty in it. Dirty on Purpose, Dirty Pretty Things, Dirty Fuzz (and if you saw the lead singer’s afro you would understand that one) and Dirty Projectors to name a few. My favorite band name for today is Black Kids, even though it’s not dirty, its racial and I like that just as much. Their new mp3, is “I’m not gonna teach your boyfriend how to dance with you.” Think there should be a band Dirty Victory.
